Privatizing Utilities Costs the Community

When Telstra Australia was first partially sold, the line rentals jumped from around $11.00 Australian to nearly $30.00. In other words, what was the community's property suddenly cost nearly three times as much to use.

It has now been fully privatized, and the Government (who used to own it) and Telstra are continually clashing, often in court.
